Honda has launched the facelift version of its popular mid-size SUV, the Elevate, in India with a starting price of Rs 11.80 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated model brings a fresh design language and a host of new features aimed at strengthening its position in the highly competitive segment. The launch comes as Honda seeks to capitalise on the festive season demand and the growing preference for SUVs among Indian buyers.

The new Honda Elevate facelift features a redesigned front fascia with a bolder grille, revised bumper, and updated LED headlamps that give it a more aggressive stance. The rear profile has also been tweaked with new LED tail lamps and a revised tailgate. Inside, the cabin gets an upgraded infotainment system, new upholstery options, and additional convenience features. Analysts say the facelift is a strategic move to keep the Elevate competitive against rivals such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.

"The mid-size SUV segment is one of the most fiercely contested in India, and the Honda Elevate facelift is a timely update that should help the brand maintain its momentum. With a starting price of Rs 11.80 lakh, Honda has positioned it attractively against key competitors," analysts say.

Honda has retained the 1.5-litre petrol engine that produces 121 PS and 145 Nm of torque, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a CVT gearbox. The company claims a fuel efficiency of 15.31 kmpl for the manual and 16.92 kmpl for the CVT variant. The Elevate facelift continues to be offered in multiple variants, with the top-end model priced at Rs 16.20 lakh (ex-showroom).

The facelift also sees the introduction of new colour options, including a dual-tone finish, and the addition of Honda Sensing ADAS on higher variants. The SUV now comes with six airbags as standard across all variants, a move that aligns with the upcoming safety norms in India. The booking process has already commenced at Honda dealerships across the country, with deliveries expected to begin later this month.

In terms of dimensions, the Elevate facelift remains unchanged, measuring 4,312 mm in length, 1,790 mm in width, and 1,650 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,650 mm. The ground clearance stands at 220 mm, making it suitable for Indian road conditions. The boot space is rated at 458 litres, which is among the best in its class.

Honda is offering the Elevate facelift with a standard 3-year/unlimited kilometre warranty, which can be extended up to 10 years. The company has also introduced a range of accessory packages for personalisation. Analysts say the facelift is likely to boost Honda's sales in the SUV segment, where it has been a late entrant but has managed to carve a niche with the Elevate's practical packaging and reliability.
